WHATEVER YOU COUNT IMPORTANT
Whate’er you count important
You will create time for
Be it in the spiritual
Or the physical
Think of athletes on the field
Other sportsmen too
Trainings they don’t compromise
Medals they must win
Very early in the morn
They get out of bed
No time for a life of ease
If they would go far
Take your mind back to the time
When ahead of you
Was a degree to acquire
Seriously you read
You gave time to study hard
Important it was
Distractions you put aside
‘Cos of the degree
But unfortunate it is
That the very things
That will help our spirit man
We have pushed aside
If salvation of your soul
Is so important
If you must be saved today
You’ll create time for God
Why are you not sanctified
Why no growth in grace
Why are you not Spirit filled
Though saved long ago
If so important you count
Friendship with the Lord
You’ll find time to talk with Him
And to walk with Him
Time for fellowship with God
In the place of pray’r
If we count so important
We’ll make time for it
Many can’t remember now
The last time they prayed
Going on their knees to God
One effective hour
Gradually we’ve left aside
Time to read His word
No more meditation time
So busy we are
Possibly fellowship time
Many times we miss
Due to our secular work
Absentees in church
It is not impossible
Reaching out to souls
Is now a thing of the past
Busy our schedules
It’s important we retrace
Our derailing steps
And come back to where we first
Met our loving Lord
Is there an important thing
That you’ve left aside
If it’s really important
Then find time for it
Find good time for it right now
No longer delay
So you’ll not regret at last
That you weren’t wise
Whate’er you count important
You will create time for
Be it in the spiritual
Or the physical
