LOTS OF REASONS TO PRAISE HIM
- We’ve got lots of reasons to praise Him
This we’ll realize when we focus less on trials
When we look back to where we were years back
We’ve enjoyed His faithfulness of that we’re sure
We’ve experienced His love and great compassion
Things may not be exactly what we want them to be
We may not be exactly where we wish to be
But we’ve got lots of reasons to praise Him still
Lots of reasons to appreciate His love
Many we were born with are no more
Their memories have been forgotten
Many are alive but they are not living
Many are blind although they’ve got eyes to see
Many are burdened with the vicissitudes of life
We pray His grace will reach and save them
Since His grace has reached and sustained us
We’ve got lots of reasons to praise Him
Lots of reasons to appreciate His love
Think of the many times God answered our prayers
Times when things seemed all hopeless around
His grace pulled us through and we came out
Of the many trials that came like a deluge
The troubles couldn’t drown us we overcame
Think of the times we’ve had reasons to shout for joy
When prayers were answered and needs supplied
We’ve got lots of reasons to praise Him
Lots of reasons to appreciate His love
We may not be the richest of all men that ever lived
We may not have titles and laurels much bestowed
Our earnings may be meagre compared to others
But we have great peace of mind and contentment
We may not have a wardrobe full of gold and silver
But we’re going to live in mansions on the streets of gold
So we’ve got lots of reasons to shout hallelujah!
Yes we’ve got lots of reasons to praise Him
Lots of reasons to appreciate His love
Assignment for all:
1. Take some time to reflect on God’s past goodness and faithfulness in your life- salvation from sin, preservation, healing, provision, protection, deliverance, His Spirit’s guidance etc.
2. List them as much as possible (they’re innumerable)
3. Take some time to praise Him for all He has done (forget all the ‘yet to be done’)
4. Now begin to thank Him for prayers yet unanswered
5. Testify as you see miracles happen. Praises works, it will work for you. AMEN
