Tempted and tried, so weak you feel
No light in sight, no help seems near
Troubled and sad, lonely and cold
Keep trusting Him, you’re not alone

I’ve prayed and prayed, fasted betimes
Believed His word, trusted in Him
Held on to Him, heeded His words
Yet I’m not heard, so you have felt

You’re near the light, however dark
Darkest it is, before the dawn
Never give up, despite the storm
Jesus is near, He’ll hear your prayer
